This made me start thinking about my own story of fears, doubts, insecurities which translated to overwhelm, complexity, and clutter....and not the results I wanted until I shifted into....

I know exactly how you feel! I remember learning HTML over 15 years ago, and it was not easy! I understood why people did not like doing sites! I also understood that sometimes it is smarter to outsource to another team member and scale!
I've gone from creating HTML sites to using several tools to integrating workshops to either teach people how to do their own sites hands on (as part of our mastermind, events, and academies) and/or how to outsource a website easily and effortlessly! I've personally been involved in websites and digital marketing now for over 10 years across multiple industries ranging from retail to education to energy to wellness to consulting and more!
Like many people, I found myself overcomplicating in 2015. I decided to simplify simplify simplify in all areas of life! As a result, I got clear on five simple steps to help us be a Website Wonder.

Step 1:
Use Simple and Easy Design Tools
I believe this is the most important step. It doesn't matter whether you are doing the website or someone else - the easier the tool - the faster you will get it done. The faster you may also outsource and /or hand it off to someone!
This can single handedly make or break your entire website building. I've used Wix now for years, and recently added Kajabi for courses and email automation (because Wix doesn't have that and Kajabi is simple!)

2. Choose an Easy and Catchy Domain.
Your domain is what is in between www. and .com. Pick something that is intuitive and "key words" that people may google when they are searching for your business.
There is a reason why I chose "FIT Life Creation". We also tie in keywords like wellness, transformation, retreats, masterminds, entrepreneurs. I test these words each 30-90 days, and make sure our traffic is climbing!
You may get your domain on sites like www.wix.com (right when you set up your site!) or simply google "domain" and see what is available:)
3. Use Template Themes to Start!
Speaking of simple and easy...use template themes to start! On both Wix and Kajabi, they have template themes to get you started! Pick a template, switch the colors, and images, and get it done! You may get feedback and make updates every 90 days!
Our current website has now evolved to version 10.0 in over 2 years!
Pick one of the industry templates. Select your brand colors. Insert photos (if you have them) or use the stock photos to start!
